WELCOME TO MRS. KURTIS'S 6TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES CURRICULUM PAGE!

The 6th grade Social Studies Curriculum explores the ancient civilizations which framed the world as we know it today. Homework assigned involves defining Key Terms, People, and Places, as well as answering Reading Comprehension and Critical Thinking Questions. There are also occasional projects assigned during the year.

We use the textbook, History of Our World, published by Prentice Hall. Clicking on the book cover will take you to the publisher's website where you will find valuable resource material connected to our studies.

WHAT COULD BE MORE FUN THAN MEDIEVAL DAY!!! The link has cool pictures from Medieval Day 2007, plus I found a great website about Robin Hood for you to look at.
